BPMN
BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) diagramming is a standard way to visually describe how a business process works from start to finish.
It uses a consistent set of symbols - such as events, activities, gateways, and flows - to show who does what, when decisions are made, and how information or tasks move between people, teams, and systems.
BPMN diagrams are usually used to document, analyse, and improve business processes. They help stakeholders understand current ways of working, identify bottlenecks or handover points, design future-state processes, and provide clear requirements for automation, workflow tools, or system development.
Because BPMN is widely recognised, it is especially useful for creating a shared language between business teams, analysts, developers, and process owners.
